The first weekend in October, Cody and I escaped reality for the weekend with a trip to Concan to celebrate our dear friends John and Courtney's nuptials. This trip was a big deal for a number of reasons, including the fact that we were reunited with a lot of our college friends for the first time in quite a while. Most importantly, however, this marked the first time mommy spent the night away from Hayes Man. So, if you're wondering how things went, we both survived, and GG and Pops managed to come out of the experience relatively unscathed (minus the decorative clock that Hayes showed his authority over). I missed my little man terribly but sure did enjoy the quality time with my big man-- something that we certainly don't take for granted these days with a child in the picture! I am so blessed to have a hubby that is not only the best daddy and provider for us, but he is also my best friend and we have SO much fun together. There are also few places that I love as much as the Texas Hill Country, and it was truly the perfect little getaway with my man. The weather even matched the time of year for once! To top it all off, John and Courtney's wedding was flawless and we had so much fun celebrating them. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Lairsen!
